The Women

The women connected to the Center are restless believers who think that our questions and insights deserve a place in the 2,000 year old theological conversation that is Christian theology.  We integrate prayer, study and hospitality after the example of the earliest Christian communities.  Many of us serve as teachers, physicians, nurses, advocates for the poor, judges, lawyers, therapists, mothers, vowed women religious.

Some have come to think of the Center as a new kind of motherhouse: one that mothers the mothers; one that ministers to the ministers.

The Support

Fees, sales, donations, grants, contributions from individual donors and from the Sisters of Mercy make it possible for the Center to offer a quality educational experience at a very affordable rate.  Please consider joining those whose contributions sustain us.

The Invitation

Through this newly expanded website, we hope to open this conversation (and this virtual motherhouse) to a wider audience.  Do let us know your ideas about how we can use the Internet to accomplish this.
