The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas
The Sisters of Mercy are an international community of women religious vowed to serve people who suffer from poverty, sickness and lack of education--with a special concern for women and children. Mount Saint Agnes Theological Center for Women is sponsored by the South Central Community of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. In addition to Mount Saint Agnes, this Community sponsors some 40 other institutions, where health care, education, advocacy, social work and other works of mercy are carried on in 14 of the united states, in Jamaica and in Guam. The reach of the Sisters of Mercy from this Community is even wider. The map below shows where sisters are living and ministering.
